     Article 1-
Napoleon and Luisiana-

France is under control by General Napoleon Bonaparte, who’s life goal is to rebuild France’s empire in North America. He is having Europeans wash out the Spanish popuation in Luisiana, but standing in his way is Saint Dominque from Haiti. Their is rebellion in the French colony, where enslaved Africans are rapidly gaining their freedom. Napolean wants to gain control of the island as a supply base. The French failed after attemting to capture St. Dominque, where L’Ouveture, a former slave, and troops won the battle. This is making it hard for Napoleon to send troops to Luisiana.

       Article 2-
Purchasing the Territory/Surprising Offer-

President Jefferson wants to keep the French from controlling New Orleans, so he is hoping that the U.S. will buy the port city from France. Jefferson told U.S. Ambassador to try and buy New Orleans and Florida from the French Government, but they said that without New Orleans, “the rest[of Luisiana]would be of little value” to France, so they offered the U.S. the whole lot of Luisiana! Napoleon said he did not want land that is unprotected, but that he would rather have money for supplied for his troops. The U.S. just bought the territory for 15 million dollars. Livingston thinks that “our country will be essentially served.”

          Article 3-
The Lewis and Clark Expedition/Preparations-

Before Jefferson was President, we knew he wanted to learn about the Mississippi River, American Indians, and see if there was a route that leads to to the Pacific Ocean, so he had beeen trying to send some explorers. Now he is President, and he convinced congress to give some money so his exploration can happen. His explorers are co-leaders, Lewis and Clark. They are set to go on their journey in May of 1804, from a spot near St. Lewis, but now they are studying intently to know all there is about survival, and getting ready for this epic adventure.

        Article 4-
 To Pacific and Back-

After Lewis and Clark crossed the Plains, they reached the Rocky Mountains and the snow was in their way to the Pacific, so a tribe provided horses so they could ride across the moutains. Sacagawea, an Indian they met along the way, helped them as a guide to travel safely. They just arrived home in St.Louis and everybody is cheering on their return, even though they did not find a river route, but they did find some scientific information, such as plants and animals from their Indian friends.

     Again, I would like to thank you for giving me this honor as President, and i promise that from this day forward, I will strive to make changes every minute of my being held in office to make these next four years the best years our nation has seen in a long time. Our nation has and is facing war, poverty, as well as financial issues, global warming, and so many other problems. All of these issues will not go away over night, but throughout these next four years will do everything in my power to make sure that these problems, as well as others, will greatly reduce, or rather, subside. I am also in the process of making peace with other contries so the threatening will go down.

This a beautiful country and we need to keep preserving it. It will take a lot of work, but know that as long as I am in office and hold the position of President of these United States, we will preserve and will make these four years the best improving years she has seen in a long time.

    I have definitley changed myself and I still am improving myself. One thing I am working on is having a more positive outlook on life. I am also trying to be sress-free, because I always work myself up on things, such as tests, that I think are going to be so difficult but they turn out not being so bad. I have decided to not worry, because what will happen will happen, and worrying will not make anything better. I just need to try my hardest, and whatever happens, I know I tried my hardest. So, basically, what is preventing me from being the best I can be is stress. I think if people in this world were stressfree and had a positve outlook on life and the world, this planet will be a much happier place to live on.

    I think the most powerful thing you can say to someone is I hate you. This is really powerful because it means that you absolutley positively despise that person and can’t stand their guts. I think a lot of people say this to friends or family when their mad at somebody, when they truly don’t know what that word means. It is a cruel word, and it hurts a lot of feelings without other people knowing it.

    I want a pet so badly, but I can’t because my parents will not let me have one. If I could have a pet, I would want a Yorkies that I could fit in my purse and it it would be a puppy. I would train it so that it is very kind and has nice dog manners. It would be a rich, dark chocolate color.   

This is a very short post, but my teacher asked us to write a comment on a post that is on  Bill Genereux’s blog. The post was called “The Quality of my Life is Determined by the Quality of my….” and we had to fill the rest out myself. This is what I wrote in my blank space: “ The quality of my life is determined by the quality of my self respect. If you don’t have any self respect, how do you expect others to respect you?”

    I left a comment on the post that was about our new years’ resolution, and what we should do to make the Earth a better place. My comment was ”For my New Years Resolution, I want to have a more positive outlook on life, even if something bad or upsetting happens in my life, because I know there is no need in worrying about something because it is not going to change the outcome of what will happen.”  If everyone does this, it will make the world a more happy and stress-free environment to live in.

 A deep thought I had this week was what I would do if i lived in Rome, Italy. How cool would that be!!!!!!! I love Itlay, because I am 75% Italian, and I also visited Italy, and it is positively gorgeous!!!! I would probably visit the treve fountain every single day and make a wish. Then, I would make time every day to go sightseeing. Even if I lived their, there wouldn’t be enough time in days or months to see everything you could possibly see in Rome, or Itlay as a whole! I would also eat at so many restaurants because Italian food is the best!!!!! I would love to live in Rome!!!=)))))))))))))))))))

      I loveee brownies mixed with cookie dough!!!!! I make it from a Betty Crocker box. When I make it, I always take a spoonful of brownie batter and eat it, (before I add the egg so I don’t get salminella,) and I would eat a big spoonful of cookie dough. I always eat the batch when it gets right out of the oven because the chocolate chips are melted and the two flavors of the chocolate batter and cookie come together and make this wonderful concoction of goodness!=)))) Love it so much!!!!!!!!

   So, my teacher wanted me and my fellow classmates  in my class and on my team to go to google, and look up blogs dedicated to one specific subject. I typed in “blog+ice cream”, and I pressed on a blog that is ALL about ice cream, which I loveeee!!!!!=)))))) First of all, the blog is called “All Things Ice Cream”, and it had delicious ice cream recipes, such as champagne sorbet, fruit cake ice cream, the traditional strawberry ice cream, peppermint frozen comfort, salted caramel ice cream(along with the recipe for salted caramel hot cocoa drink), ice cream pumpkin pie(yummmmm), chocolate chip coconut ice cream, and even a recipe called “eat your vegetable ice cream, with REAL vegetables in it, (only for the brave ones to try!!!!) This is such an awesome site! If you scroll down to the right side, you will see a bunch of words that you can press, such as if you press halloween, it brings you up to a page that has ice cream vampire bats, hallowween ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream jack o’ lanterns that are sooo cute!!!!!=)))) I left a comment on the post that was about the play and freeze ice cream maker which you can play with the  ice cream maker while mixing the ice cream because it is in a ball shape!!!! SOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!
