    In the United States, Halloween is such a fun and exciting time for kids!!!

      Every year, on October 31st, we celebrate Halloween. Halloween is a time for people to get dressed up in a costume. For example, my friend is being a soldier, and one a fairy. I am being a bunny!!!!! I am using one of my dance costumes: it is a pink dress with sequins and a bow, and I purchased white, fluffy bunney ears, a cotton tail, and a huge carrot. I also bought pink face paint so I can draw a bunny nose on my face!!!!  Then, evrybody goes to different houses and rings their doorbell. As soon as the person answers the door, you yell, “Trick-or-treat!!” Then they give you candy, and you then move on to different candy.

     This is such a cool celebration because you get free candy and come home with a big bag full of it!!!!

    I enjoy returning to Ryan7e09’s blog because there is always something different to see. Also, almost everyday there is a new blog post. He celabrated his 50th already!!!! His posts are very interesting and humorous, so they make you feel like laughing. There are blog posts on M&M’s, pirates, falling, microwaves, young frankenstein, and even a post about leaving your lunch at home! He is a true comedian. =))

    In the 2008 Presidential Election, I am going to support John McCain. My reasons for siding with the Republicans, and John McCain, is because, first, they are pro-life. I believe that nobody should have abortions because you are killing an innocent child. Also, the Republicans approve that every American should have a tax cut so that there will be no chance of small businesses closing down and people getting fired. This act will also create more money to be circulated. The Republicans also want to make sure every American can have affordable health care so that they can have a reduced payment for treatment, and be able to pay for it.

      Poverty is a very strong and emotional topic to deal with, or talk about. I think that the children who are living in poverty should have an education because they have the same rights as we do. Just because they do not have enough money to pay for am education doesn’t mean that they should be punished for it. I think supplying them with an education will also give them a chance to apply their knowledge from school and put it towards a job so they can earn money and start a new life being poverty-free. I think what students can do to participate in social action to end poverty is to have fundraisers,  car washes, or even go to craft fairs, selling things and putting the money towards sending it to a foundation that deals with world poverty. It doesn’t matter how much you made. Every donation counts. You could be the reason that a family has a hot meal in front of them, or being apart of having a child be able to attend school and have a successful life to look forward to.  

Hello, Lisa, I think this post is a wonderful topic to write about and let others see, because bullying is a very emotional topic. While children who are getting bullied think it is themselves, it is really the person who is doing the bullying.
Bullying happens everywhere: no school can say that nobody is getting bullied in school, or on school grounds. This is why I think that the relationships betweeen teacher and student canbe really helpful. I think the bonds between student and teacher should be very close so that if a student ever feels the need to tell someone that they are getting bullied, they could tell the teacher and the matter could be resolved in a few minutes.
A lot of teachers would probably tell their students to go down to guidance, but I know that a lot of students, including me, feel embarrassed or uncomftorable because they don’t know that person very well, or they didn’t ever have an issue to talk to them about out all.
This is why I think that teacher should have very colse bonds with each of their students.

   After I visited this site, I realized that it is a really great place to go on the web and find out a lot about bullying. While bullying is a very emotional topic, this site brings happiness and positivity towards the prevention of bullying and not being scared fi you are. It is really great how they have characters that are children to make the site more interesting and kid-friendly for children-especially younger ones. I think it is also great how they have a “Dear Sally ,” so that kids can ask questions without being embarrassed to ask them, while knowing that they are having reliable answers written back to them.

   I live in a cozy, small town in New England. I live in the country side,so you do not experience the crazy life of the city. If you were to visit my state I would reccomend you visit Mystic Aquarium. I think you should visit Mystic Aquarium because they have whales, penguins, turtles, a beatiful array of fish, and everyother mammal that you can think of. If you were to visit Connecticut, I were reccomend you to visit during the Fall because of the beautiful foliage out of all of New England. Our leaves turn vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds.

Our school, Moran Middle, is a medium sized school, and it is made out of bricks. There are three floors: one for sixth grade, one for seventh grade, and one for eighth grade. We also have our cafeteria, auditorium, unified arts room{cooking, sewing, wood, art, and metal classes,} and language rooms. The subjects I take are language arts, math, science, music classes, a child developement class,{unified arts,} and spanish classes.

 My avatar is made to look just like me. It has my brown hair with my wavy curls, and a huge smile on her face, because, like me, I am a very happy and bubbly person. I am simply just always in a happy and wonderful mood. My shirt is purple because I l love this color. I like it because it is the color of royalty, and the color of grapes! (I love grapes!!!!)  Although you cannot see the rest of my avatar’s body, she has a heart design on the front of her shirt. I had her wear this on her shirt, because since my avatar is representing me, I have a big heart. I’m am very loyal, caring, and loving person. She is also wearing a skirt because I love them!!!! =))
